En un mercado justo, Over -110 e Under -110 sumarían exactamente 100%.

Preguntas Frecuentes

What is implied probability?

Implied probability converts betting odds into a percentage that represents the likelihood of an outcome happening, as suggested by the sportsbook's line. For American odds of -110, the implied probability is 52.38%.

Why do implied probabilities sum to more than 100%?

The excess over 100% is the sportsbook's vig (vigorish) or overround. For a typical -110/-110 market, implied probabilities sum to about 104.8%. The extra 4.8% is the book's built-in edge. Use the De-Vig tool above to remove it.

What is the vig (vigorish)?

The vig is the commission charged by sportsbooks on every bet. It's embedded in the odds so that the sum of implied probabilities exceeds 100%. A -110/-110 line has about 4.5% vig; a -105/-105 line has about 2.4% vig.

How do I convert American to decimal odds?

For positive American odds: divide by 100 and add 1. So +150 becomes 2.50. For negative American odds: divide 100 by the absolute value and add 1. So -110 becomes 1.909.
